Wallonia. The Bouillon Castle is the biggest castle of Belgium and with its labyrinth and vaults, it is considered to be the oldest relict of Belgium‘s feudal system. The castle over the Semois, on top of three hilltops, can be visited nowadays. Not only the historic fortress with its modernized parts of the famous architect Vauban is offered to visitors; there is also the permanent exhibition “Scriptura“ and a bird of prey presentation.
Opening hours are Monday to Friday 1pm to 5pm, Saturday and Sunday 10am to 5pm. The castle is opened from 10am to 5pm during the Christmas holidays as well, except for December 25th and January 1st, on which the fortress remains closed.
Entrance fees for children and students are 5€, adults pay 7€. Audio guides can be borrowed for 2€.
