Anne–Marie at Den Atelier

By Maddy, May 16th 2019

Anne-Marie is a British singer that released her first album “Speak your mind” in 2018. She did some features with Clean Bandit and Sean Paul for “Rockabye”, with James Arthur for the cover “Rewrite the stars” (song from the musical “The Greatest showman”) and my personal favorite, “FRIENDS” with Marshmello.

Her new album is a combination of thoughts, feelings and experiences that the singer has/had. The title of the album [Speak Your Mind] summarizes very well all the songs from the album. She talks about body positivity and accepting yourself in “Perfect to me”, being cheated on and how that feels in “Alarm” and “Ciao Adios” and young love that feels like eternal in “2002”.

Last week, Anne-Marie had the stop tour in Luxembourg. I didn’t know what to expect from this show, but I was beautifully surprised.

The enter act was held by Lennon Stella, a warm voice from Canada. We could see she likes to be on the stage and enjoys what she is doing. Also, I discovered my new favorite cathartic song “B*TCH” by her.

Anne-Marie entered the stage at the time we were promised, with some nice lights game that set the mood. She made a connection with the public and kept it for the whole show. She looked like she was enjoying being on the stage and sharing her experiences and feelings with us. She wasn’t afraid to be herself, making jokes, making faces, communicate with the audience and let her specific laugh out.

If you want to see her performing live and disconnect for a couple of hours, she is still touring, and you might be in luck and still catch tickets. More information here.

Also, the concert in Luxembourg was organised by den Atelier at the Luxexpo The Box. who in the next period bring to us Alice in Chains on 31st May, Bon Iver on 4th June, Snow Patrol on 2nd July and Rammstein 20th July. More information here.
