„Aida“ auf der Schlossbühne Wiltz
Nachdem das 64. Festival de Wiltz am vergangenen Wochenende zwei der größten Ballettklassiker auf die Bühne brachte, kam das Publikum an diesem Freitag und Samstag in den Genuss zweier Opern des berühmten Komponisten Giuseppe Verdi. Nach „Ein Maskenball“ (Un Ballo Maschera) am Freitagabend glänzte das Ensemble der Nationaloper Lwiw (Ukraine) am Samstag mit „Aida“. Die 1871 in Kairo uraufgeführte Oper entstand als Auftrag zur Einweihung des Suezkanals und gilt als eine der erfolgreichsten Opern des 19. Jahrhunderts.
Die Oper in vier Akten erzählt vom Schicksal der äthiopischen Prinzessin Aida, die als Sklavin nach Ägypten verschleppt wurde und dort mit dem Heerführer Radames in tiefer Liebe verbunden ist. Dieser ist jedoch dem ägyptischen Pharao und seiner Tochter Amneris verpflichtet. Als der Geliebte gegen das eigene Vaterland in den Krieg zieht, steht Aida zwischen der Liebe zu Radames und der Verbundenheit zu ihrem Vater, dem König von Äthiopien.
Vor der einzigartigen Kulisse des Wiltzer Schlosses glänzten die Solisten, Chöre, das Orchester sowie das Ballett der Nationaloper Lwiw. Besonders die Aida überzeugte das Publikum von ihrer Virtuosität und Stimmgewalt. Die Inszenierung schöpfte die Möglichkeiten der Freilichtbühne bei Licht- und Bühnengestaltung zum Besten aus. Ein Genuss für Liebhaber der klassischen Oper.
