Advent calendar

Wallonia. The site of “Bois du Cazier” is a former mining site in the south of Charleroi, nowadays used as a museum. Three topics can be experienced in the museum: the memorial of the mining accident of 1956, the glass museum and the industry museum. Also the surrounding area of the “Bois du Cazier” is worth a visit: the three slagheaps were transformed into a hiking area and provide different paths for active free time activities.

Opening hours:

Tuesday to Friday 9am to 5pm, Saturday and Sunday 10am to 6pm. “Bois du Cazier” is closed in the time between December 24^th and January 9^th.

Tickets for students and teenagers aged up to 18 cost 4.50€, adults pay 7€. Special prices for groups and classes.
