And… action! Créajeune Filmworkshop 2016

Trier. In cooperation with Créajeune, the film competition for young filmmakers of the Greater Region, the Broadway Filmtheater Trier offered a filmworkshop for young adults for the second time. During the five days of the workshop (15. – 19. August), the participants had the opportunity to plan and realise their own short film with professional guidance. Besides gaining insight of the world of filmmakers, the workshop offered the space for the possibility to meet other young adults of the Greater Region, to get in touch with them and to experience a great time together.

The conceptual design of the workshop left space to experience every different step of making a film for every participant: script-writing, acting, interviewing or cutting. Knowledge was shared with eyeryone: differences between vox pops and interviews and the right composition of an interview scene were discussed fast. Preknowledge was extended and new one was gained. From time to time, the creativity of such a project was seen by for example crafting an improvised boom arm or catching a special perspective with the camera by being hit by a pillow or crawling into a cupboard.

All in all, the group had an interesting, educating, exciting, intense and funny week in Trier.
