Brazilian Film Festival
The “Festival du film bresilien” is going to take place in different cities in Luxembourg in the time of the 16th November until the 26th November.
The opening event is going to be on Thursday, 17th November at 7:30 pm at Utopolis (Kirchberg, Luxembourg). The film “Nise – The Heart of Madness” a biographic drama is going to be screened. The film is about the doctor Nise da Silveira who started using revolutionary methods in a psychiatric institution during the 1940s. With paint, brushes and clay she displeased other doctors and the medical establishment. Following the English-subtitled screening will be a cocktail-evening in the cinema.

Friday, 18th November, 8:30 pm, “Les Orpehlins de l’Eldorado” at Cinémathèque (Luxembourg), subtitles in French FR
Saturday, 19th November, 7:00 pm, “Aspirantes“ – a sports drama, at Cinémathèque (Luxembourg), with original voices and French subtitles FR
Sunday, 20th November, at 4:00 pm, “Amazonia“ – a family film, at Utopia (Luxembourg), the film is following a monkey in the Amazonian rainforest and is without spoken language
Tuesday, 22nd November, 6:30 pm, “The Mayor“ – a comedy, at Cinémathèque (Luxembourg), original voices, English subtitles EN
Thursday, 24th November, 8:00 pm, “The Space in Between“ – a documentary, at Ciné Le Paris (Bettembourg), with French subtitles FR
Friday, 25th November, 8:00 pm, “Derrière Le Ciel“ – a drama, at Kinosch of Kulturfabrik (Esch sur Alzette), with French subtitles. After the screening the festival will continue with a music evening oft he singer and composer Gregório FR
Saturday, 26th November, 7:00 pm, clonsing event with the music drama “Le Professeur De Violon“ at Ciné Starlight (Dudelange), original voices with French subtitles. A festive cocktail event will be the closing event after the screening. FR
